Dreamy Taro Milkshake

An intensely thick and creamy single-serving taro milkshake featuring frozen milk cubes, condensed milk, and a secret layer of vanilla ice cream and malt powder.

Ingredients
  

  • 6-8 frozen milk cubes made from whole or 2% milk
  • 1/4 cup cold milk
  • 1 sachet/packet taro milk tea powder
  • 1-2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk adjust according to desired sweetness
  • 1-2 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 2-3 tsp malt powder
  • whipped cream optional
  • extra malt powder for topping optional

Method
 

  1. Combine the frozen milk cubes, cold milk, taro powder, and condensed milk in a blender. Blend on high until perfectly smooth and very thick.
  2. Place 1 to 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream into the bottom of your serving glass.
  3. Sprinkle 2 to 3 teaspoons of malt powder directly over the ice cream.
  4. Immediately pour the taro mixture over the ice cream and malt layer in the cup.
  5. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of malt powder, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure you freeze the milk cubes the night before for the best, thickest milkshake. If your shake is too thick to pour, add 1 tablespoon of milk at a time until the blender can process the ingredients.
